Mixed M-League is Queensland’s elite mixed netball competition, bringing together the state’s best female and male talent from 14&U juniors through to opens.

14 & Under (born 2013 and 2012)
16 & Under (born 2011 and 2010)
Opens (born 2010 and older)

Players must nominate for the correct age group. Nominees may be selected for an older team, at the discretion of HDNA. 

ELIGIBILITY
Nominees for the 14&U and 16&U age groups must have been selected in a 2026 HDNA State Age or EPL team. Players are not eligible to trial at HDNA if they have been named in an M-League team at another association.

TRIAL ATTENDANCE
Players nominating for M-League must attend all trial dates. A medical certificate MUST be emailed to rep@hdna.net.au if a player is unable to trial. Any other request to not attend trials must be submitted by email to rep@hdna.net.au one week prior to the trial date with a detailed reasoning. Consideration may be given but not necessarily accepted.

– Remove all jewellery and trim nails before arrival.
– Bring a water bottle and sweat towel.
– Arrive at least 20 minutes before trail start time and present to the desk to check in.

GAMES
All players must be available for games on consecutive weeks for the duration of the season.

14&U and 16&U games are played on Thursday nights at Nissan Arena. The season commences 17^th September and grand finals are on 10th December.

Opens games are played on Friday nights at Nissan Arena. The season commences 18^th September and grand finals are on 11th December.

FEES
Trial fee: $30 to be paid at the time of nomination. This fee is non-refundable. 
Season fees/uniforms: To be confirmed.

SELECTION
Upon selection into a team a $100 deposit will be required to secure your position. If a player withdraws following acceptance of a position, they forfeit the deposit. Upon selection, parents and players will be expected to sign parent and player codes of conduct.

Players turning 15, 16 and 17 in 2026 are eligible to nominate for the 17 Years age group. Players turning 18 or 19 in 2026 are eligible to nominate for the 19 Years age group.  Players turning 20 or older (born 2005 or before) are eligible for the Opens age group. Nominees for mixed must be turning 16 or older in 2026. Players must nominate for the correct age group. Nominees may be selected for an older team, at the discretion of HDNA.

Training is compulsory and will be held on Wednesdays at either HDNA or Gold Coast Recreation Precinct (formerly Tallebudgera Recreation Centre).

Eligibility criteria for our girls State Age teams has changed this year. Please ensure you review the criteria before nominating. To participate in the trials for our 2026 girls teams players must:

• Be a financial member of an HDNA club/team in the year they are trialling (2025) and the year they are representing the Association (2026).
• Participate in two-thirds of an HDNA winter competition that includes finals in the year they are trialling, and play the year they are representing the Association. (ie. Players must be registered in our 2025 Saturday junior or Monday winter competition to trial. Our twilight and Monday summer competitions no longer meet the eligibility criteria.)
• Complete and submit to HDNA the appropriate nomination and application forms.
• Present at all selection trials, unless granted leave of absence by the Executive Committee. A written request for exemption must be put in writing to the Executive detailing the reasons for non-attendance at trails.
• Players are NOT eligible for selection or to trial for HDNA representative selection if they have been publicly named in a squad or team for any other association in the Gold Coast city and Tweed city regions prior to or during HDNA trial processes.
• Exemptions may be granted by the Executive Committee where there are extenuating circumstances. Submit your Request for Exemption at least one week prior to the closing date for nominations.

Eligibility
Please review our representative eligibility criteria before proceeding. Note that our summer competitions (Tuesday twilight or Monday summer) no longer meet the criteria. A Request for Exemption due to extenuating circumstances must be submitted at least one week prior to the closing date for nominations. 

Trial Fee
A trial fee of $30 must be paid at the time of nomination. This fee is non-refundable. 

Trial Attendance
Exemptions: If your child is not able to attend a particular trial date, you must submit a Request for Exemption at least one week prior to the date. 

Illness: If your child is ill on the day of a trial, you must contact our rep administrator prior to the start time on 0422 466 600.

Withdrawal: If your child decides to withdraw from trials, it’s important you advise us via email to rep@hdna.net.au prior to the trial date or by text message to 0422 466 600 on the day of the trial. The trial fee is non-refundable. 

Trial Location
All trials will be held at the HDNA courts at Firth Park in Mudgeeraba. 

On the Day
– Check in between 5.15pm and 5.30pm. Late arrivals may not be permitted to take the court. 
– No parents/spectators are permitted. Please check in your player and leave or relocate to Q&A session.
– Wear white tops and black pants.
– Bring a drink and snacks.
– Remove jewellery before arrival.  

Weather
Any changes due to weather will be posted on the HDNA Facebook page. If you don’t see announcement on Facebook, trials are proceeding as planned. If trial dates change due to weather an email will be sent to the address provided at the time of nomination.

Information Sessions for Parents
Q&A sessions for interested parents will be held on the following dates:

12 Years: 6.30pm on Wednesday, 17th September OR 7.30pm on Wednesday, 29th October
13 & 14 Years: 6.30pm on Wednesday, 22nd October
15, 16 & 18 Years: 6.30pm on Wednesday 8th October
Junior Boys: 6.30pm on Wednesday, 12th November

Attendance at these session is optional, but they are particularly useful for parents of players trialling for rep for the first time. No registration is required – just join us in the HDNA site office on the night.

Get Rep Trial Ready!
This information and preparation session is for players interested in trialling for our 12 Years rep teams. The session is only open to players born in 2014 who are registered in the 2025 HDNA Saturday competition. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Registering for the rep trial ready session is a separate process to nominating for rep trials. Participants must also nominate for the appropriate rep trial via TryBooking and pay the trial fee.

The session will consist of:

• 30 minute discussion about positions at trials, what selectors look for and how to come to trials prepared.
• 1 hour of skills and drills on rotation.
• 30 minutes of groups divided into shooters, midcourt and defenders.
• 1 hour of matchplay, assisting players with court space, passing, selections, etc. 
• Q&A session for parents commencing at 5.45pm.

2026 Junior State Age
4th – 7th July at Hinterland District Netball Association
Players must arrange own transport and accommodation.

Netball Queensland has yet to announce how many teams each association can enter at State Age. The number of teams we select will be determined by this announcement and the number and quality of nominees. 

Senior State Age Teams
Senior teams will be announced via a Facebook post following the final trial. Players will then receive a letter via email containing details of deposit required to secure a place in the team and other important information.  

Junior State Age Squads
Junior squads will be announced via a Facebook post following the final trial. Players will then receive a letter via email containing details of deposit required to secure place in the squad and other important information. Final team placements will occur after training commences.

Attendance at all training sessions is compulsory.

Training Times
All teams will train at HDNA on Wednesday nights from 6-8pm. 

Absence
It is the responsibility of each player to inform your coach/manager as early as possible if you are unable to attend training. You will be required to provide details of why you cannot attend training. Non-attendance at training can result in reduced court time. Any player who is absent from training on a regular and continual basis without an accepted reason may be removed from the program, without refund.

Uniform
Training uniform (HDNA training singlet, black bike pants or leggings, HDNA hoodie or tracksuit) is compulsory attire at all training sessions.

Weather
Players are required to attend training sessions in inclement weather conditions unless otherwise notified by their team coach or manager or HDNA. Your rep coach or manager will also notify players if training or games are cancelled.

What to Bring
Bring a drink bottle and towel and any other item prescribed by your coach. Prepare for the weather conditions. Do not leave jumpers, phones loose on the court…bring your HDNA backpack.

Hair and Jewellery
Hair should be tied back and no jewellery should be worn.

Supervision
Players under 18 should not be dropped off and left at training unless either your team coach or manager is present. Players under 18 need to be picked up by an adult at the conclusion of training. No player is to leave the courts without adult supervision unless an arrangement has been made with their parent or guardian.

Senior State Age Fees
To be confirmed. Based on past experience travelling to Townsville, expect player fees to be at least $1,500+. Also note that a new uniform kit will be introduced in 2026 and players will need to purchase all compulsory items.

All payments must be made via direct deposit. Use your daughter’s name and team as the reference (eg Mary Smith 14s).

New Uniform Incoming
HDNA will introduce an exciting new rep uniform in 2026. Players will need to purchase all compulsory uniform items, and there will be additional non-compulsory pieces available for players and supporters. 

Each team will participate in approximately three lead in carnivals, one of which will be at HDNA. Attendance at carnivals is compulsory and the cost is included in the player’s fees. The dates for each team’s carnivals will be provided in 2026. The dates of HDNA’s rep carnivals are as follows:

Any player who sustains an injury or becomes ill must notify their team coach/manager immediately. Injured players are expected to attend training sessions and carnivals.

A medical clearance from a doctor will be required stating that they are able to resume training. Where a player has a long-term injury, the coach should be notified of the management requirements of this injury and the effect on the player’s ability to train and play.

Misconduct
Cases of misconduct by players or parents/caregivers are treated very seriously by HDNA and will be dealt with in accordance with HDNA By-Laws.

Queries and Concerns
•  Any queries should be first directed to the team coach and or manager at an agreed time.
•  Any queries or concerns should be discussed with your coach and/or manager away from the playing group.
•  Please do not approach coaches with a query or concern at or after a game at a carnival.
•  Any urgent matters can be brought to the attention of the HDNA Vice President.
