Winter and Summer Competitions
HDNA is the largest netball association on the Gold Coast, offering netball competitions and programs for girls, boys and adults from five years of age to opens.Â
Our winter junior and NetSetGO competitions run from March to September and are played every Saturday. Our opens (senior) ladies and mixed competitions are played year-round on Monday evenings. A summer twilight competition for juniors is played on Tuesdays from October to December. All HDNA competitions are played during school terms only.Â
Player registration for most netball clubs and independent teams begins in January each year. Please refer to our Affiliated Clubs page to find a club to join.Â

2026 Summer Season
Tuesday Junior Twilight CompetitionÂ
(2 weeks grading + 10 weeks competition)Â
- Team nominations open – 20th July
- Team nominations close – 28th August at 5pm
- 7 to 17 years (18 years if attending high school)
- Game times – first games anticipated to be at 4.00pm, later times will be determined by number of teams registered
- Grading games (10 years to inters teams only) – 8th & 15th September
- Competition commences – 6th October
- Competition concludes – 8th December

Monday Night Open Social Summer Competition – Ladies & Mixed
(2 weeks grading + 15 weeks competition + finals)
- Open ladies 14+ years
- Open mixed 14+ years
- Game times – 6.00pm, 7.05pm, 8.10pm
- Team nominations open – 3rd June
- Team nominations close – 3rd July
- Grading games – 13th & 20th July
- Competition commences – 27th July
- Competition concludes – 7th December

2026 Winter Season
Saturday 5 & 6 Years Program

- Girls and boys born in 2020 and 2021

- Maximum 30 participants
Saturday NetSetGO Competition (7 to 10 Years)
(15 weeks + pre-season in-house carnival)

- Team nominations open – 5th January
- Team nominations close – 20th March
- Girls and boys 7 to 10 years
- In-house NSG carnival – 29th March
- Competition commences –Â 2nd May
- Competition concludes – 22nd August
- Game times 8am, 9am, 10am – draw will be released during the week prior to Round 1
- Umpire your own games – umpire allocation is via your club umpire coordinator

- Girls 11 to 17 years (18 years if still attending school)
- Boys 11 to 14 years
- Grading games – 7th March, 14th, 21st and 28th March
- Grading times – 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am
- Competition commences – 2nd May
- Competition concludes – 12th September
- Game times TBC. Times are dependent on the number of teams registered and the outcome of grading, so the draw will be released during the week prior to Round 1.
